On our last Day of our short trip, we decided to go to the center of hamburg. it was a rainy day, but you must be very lucky to have fine weather there, because its raining there most of the time.
We went shopping around the townhall. The „Alsterarkaden“ are really beautiful and because it was on november, there were a lot of shops selling christmas stuff. it was so lovely, i love christmas, by the way 😉
I can really recomennd the „Deichstraße“. It consists of a lot of ancient buildings, with lovely restaurants, cafes and shops. Also the „Speicherstadt“ with its red houses, is very interessting.
I read in the internet about a village, outside of hamburg, called „Blankenese“. We went there by train, it took us just 20 Minutes, from the center. It tourned out, that this insidertip, was really worth it. Lots of houses, built on a hill, called „Treppenviertel – staircase-quarter“.
In conclusion, hamburg is really a nice town!
